Anjo Yllana hails from Bicol and is the older brother of another movie actor, Jomari Yllana.
He became popular in the sitcom Abangan ang Susunod na Kabanata and in the Takeshi Castle together with Smokey Manaloto. In 1992, he's paired with Janno Gibbs in the sitcom Ober Da Bakod.
He's married to Jackie Manzano. He becameVice-Mayor of Paranaque.
